CoBank transformed an internal floor into a high-impact planning and collaboration hub so 250–300 people can align every 10 weeks without leaving campus. CTI partnered to deliver the audio visual and experiential technology that replaced the hotel setup and elevated the PI (program increment) ceremony into a “larger than life” flagship experience.
The Challenge
CoBank needed a repeatable in-house experience for its program increment planning that previously required renting hotel AV infrastructure. The goal was to bring 250 to 300 people together every ten weeks in a way that felt premium, inclusive, and energizing without sending teams offsite. The existing floor layout with cubicles did not support large-scale collaboration or enable unified presentations across multiple “train” groups. There was no internal example to follow, so the concept of a flagship shared space had to be invented from scratch. CoBank wanted a central place where work could be showcased, opening ceremonies broadcast live, and both in-person and virtual participants could engage seamlessly. Achieving alignment, visibility, and pride in the work required rethinking the environment, technology, and experience simultaneously while replacing the familiar but costly external venue model.
The Solution
CTI partnered with CoBank to completely transform the fifth floor, converting the traditional cubicle environment into an open flagship collaboration space built to support four distinct train areas and recurring planning events. The project involved gutting the existing layout to create a venue-quality experience that removed the need for offsite hotel setups. At its heart is the “Grand Central Station” display—a 21-foot-wide by nine-foot-tall centerpiece flanked by secondary and confidence monitors—designed so teams can showcase progress and opening ceremonies can be broadcast live across the floor. CTI integrated advanced AV systems to ensure that in-room participants collaborate effectively while virtual contributors remain fully connected. The space was crafted to be inclusive, visible, and energizing so product teams and associates have the tools to align, present, and deliver together every ten weeks.
