Purpose-built spaces prepare students for the future of media production
Webster University partnered with CTI to upgrade and modernize its School of Communications into a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility that includes fully networked multi-screen production spaces, a comprehensive central control system that can stream video between rooms and to and from the outside world, and innovative tools such as a virtual cinema wall.
“If you don’t have somebody that you can work with fairly easily, you’ve got a problem,” says the Webster team, adding, “We had a pretty easy time” with CTI. “They were always open and flexible.”
Education
CTI played a crucial role in bringing this vision to life by providing expertise in video wall selection, installation, and system integration—components beyond the capabilities of the university’s internal staff. The collaboration between WSU and CTI was seamless, with CTI’s project manager ensuring smooth execution at every stage, from design and quoting to installation and testing. As a result, WSU now has a state-of-the-art digital storytelling experience, replacing outdated projection systems and offering a powerful, modern way to engage prospective students. The project reinforced CTI’s reputation as a trusted AV partner, ensuring that the technology not only met but exceeded WSU’s expectations.
